Boring day in the office and had an idea to run pass you both.
Scenario design and map making requires a level of micro-historical research and at times some funny sources that aren't readily available. On the flip side you come across some great sources as your scour the world wide web.
Would it be possible to set up two sub-forums inside the Scenario Design section:
1. for research/source/info requests so users can ask specific questions as they slave away at a map or scenario.
2. for users to post links to quality sources they have found in their travels. (I know the Book Review section didn't exactly take off though...)
Using some topic name rules headings so topics are displayed like:
- [Map Making] NW Europe Historical Maps
- [Unit History] 3rd Canadian Infantry Division
... could help keep the material in some sort of searchable format as time goes on. Don't think you'd need to divide by game as it may dilute the topic posts a bit and some sources will cover multiple games.
Just an idea from left field.
