...but I'm having a great time. The map felt too big to start with and I didn't have a clue what to do.

However my forces just made contact - and now I'm hooked!

Thank you to everyone at FGM for encouraging me a couple of weeks ago and to Richtig for explaining how to get a match going etc.

Glad to hear you're having fun, as that is the ultimate achievement here at FGM, not the wins, though it's nice to get one once in awhile.
 
Great! Another One hooked! There is nothing bettet in the CM World playing against real opponents! You will find it difficult going back playing the AI though.
 
That's true what Strachwitz said, it's difficult to come back to playing AI again after playing a living and breathing opponent. A win or a loss, it does not really matter as every defeat is a lesson and makes you ultimately a better player for your next battles.

CM and this community also have something unique about them I found. During the games we compete, try to best one another, but we always share thoughts on the game, and it doesn't matter whether I won or lost, it's always in a very friendly atmosphere. I guess it's because of the overall maturity of CM players, impatient teenagers shouting "BOOOM Headshot!" or "You suck!" don't really play games like this one, for which I'm really grateful :)

Couldn't agree me about not wanting to go back to AI. If only Bafflefront could make campaigns multiplayer
