I'd guess it involves alcohol and the stagger is actually slang for a stag do, which is slang for a bachelor party. (If not talking to significant others : It's a party that may involve multiple sexual partners - some imaginary - being threatened/beaten up/attacked by random people you've been "honest" with, copious alcohol/illegal substance abuse, and or leprechauns)
