Like the title says. I'm working on a new FGM grand campaign and I need some one who can create the overall campaign map. Something like the Normandy campaign map.

I have some CM related Vassal modules installed maybe I can point you to something. This way you don't have to make a map from scratch and simply use a preexisting one. "The Devils Cauldron" and "Where Eagles Dare" comes to my mind. Simply the best looking MG maps and counters. But maybe scale is a problem there as it is really huge. 200 scale hexes for company centric warfare...
 
Vassal, use Snipping Tool with windows 7 to post parts of the hex map into Paint or Paint.Net and edit accordingly. I've pasted to module into the shared dropbox folder Strachwitz and you are using for your big battle. 70mb.

You can also just unpack the vassal module (actually it is a ZIP-File) and search for the map as png. Or save the map from within the game as PNG should also work. With that no copy paste and a scalable file format. Quite handy.

:). Could you tell me what map you exactly need? Whole Market Garden area of operations or just a part of it? I will then compile a sample map of this area from this fabulous boardgame. Or maybe another one. Depends on the hex scale you want and thus also the size of engagements. 1:1 company, battalion or more abstracted regiments above? Just drop me a line in a conversations if details have to remain behind closed doors...

Having a look at the vassal module last night before placing it in Dropbox rejigged my memory. There's a whole wealth of info there to really make the guts of a campaign. You technically could do a much more simpler version of Bootie's OOC campaign including a 1:1 unit representation across the MG theatre with the info there. Problem is keeping the CM engagement manageable and the players in line. :) I've managed a few campaigns, events in a past non-CM life, feel free to fwd me any material or thoughts you want a comment on.
 
@Ithikial : I experimented a lot with the two boardgames as a OP layer for a campaign. I stripped down and adjusted the rules to be suitable for CM. What I liked most is the size of units engaged and the asymmetrical turns. This could lead not only to interesting battle setups even reinforcements during battles would have been possible. Adding more fun. But this is momentarily on hold as my little baby consumes most o my spare time.
A bit more abstracted as there are mostly regiments involved is Monty's Gamble: Operation Market Garden. Maybe this also would make for a great big campaign as the OOC.

Wish I had more time...
 
The map you uploaded Strachwitz is also very good. But I need a map for the whole MG sector.
