Been away for a while & keen to get back into the fray. Happy with CMFB, CMBS,CMBN & CMRT

Hi Hamrock, Mike Raymond here. I have a campaign uploaded for FB, two actually, each allows a human opponent. It is BulgePlusOne. There is a German campaign and an American one. I also have just completed a super long campaign for RT, again for each side and vs humans. I'd love to play any one of these with someone.
I'm talking hours of battle in each of them.
I haven't uploaded the FT one, called Barbarosa yet. I'd like to play PBEM, if you want. You pick the side you want, American, Russian, German, and choose Russian campaign or Bulge.

I am game, as long as it isnt LARGE.... pick one out and send me an invite... got all products all up to date...

Hmmm Campaign files are large anyway. The Barbarosa (both) zipped to 25.5 Megs. The Bulge set is just under 5 Megs. The Barb is made up of 16 battles, the Bulge has 8 battles. Also, I thought I did send you an invite, in my post. I'm new on the forums so is there an official method?

@Mike Raymond How you going to play a campaign H2H, unless you just blow out the battles... When I made Sie Kommen II it had 18 battles Allied vs AI, then separate 12 battles Axis vs AI, then the Battle Pack that I had to modify the battles for H2H play with all 18 battles...

The invite is a term we use for Dropbox, which is what we use here for sending H2H files back and forth, plus there is a CMHelper program made by GreenasJade which takes all the file moving out on the local desktop....

I am more than willing to try your campaign, but it might takes months to get through it, how many battles is it...

EDIT: @Hamrock I am not trying to hijack your thread, I am still interested in a game...

Ah, I see. I thought you could play campaigns via email. So, I could send you the opening battle to begin. If you like it, each battle in the campaign can be fought seperately. I'll be honest, the Barbarosa camp is 25% my battles and I included the scenarios (some) that came with the game. The Bulge camp is all my design.
So, if you wish, I will send you file one of either camp. Let the fight begin!

Situation
Location: The Ardennes Area (France)
Date: December 1944
Time: Dusk
Weather: Cold and snowing. Southwesterly breeze
Ground Conditions: Snow Covered

Our assault on the Bastogne area has been stopped. We are withdrawing to establish a defensive line a few kilometers and then must prepare to hold in place. The enemy is expected to counter-attack soon.

^

Mission
Break contact with the enemy and find good defensible positions. Hold your ground until reinforcements arrive. The situation will escalate rapidly. The Allies must not get into Germany. Proceed Eastward, set your positions and drive him back.
^

Friendly Forces
We have several infantry companies including several from the Panzergrenadier battalion. Also we will receive one or more companies of mixed armor. Our artillery is mostly intact, so expect good support and also air strikes.

^

Enemy Forces

An under-strength battalion of armored Infantry
Remnants of a battalion of parachutists
Some Light Tanks
Perhaps a company of Medium Tanks (Shermans)
Artillery
Air Support
Medium and light mortar units.
A few units of battered survivors of our assault.

^

Plan

Pull back and find a line to defend. You want good spotting locations for our artillery and air strikes. Shermans are no match in close battle for the Panther and Tiger tanks, so go after them on sight. Keep a reserve to plug any holes in the line.

This is the German text for the encounter scenario that I uploaded. It is the first battle in the Bulge campaign.

Hi Mike,

can we try

the Bulge battle. I'll be the Germans if that is OK? I'll send an invite.

I haven't got Dropbox yet. So, another guy is going to send me an invite to earn the bonus storeage. I will then have a Dropbox and will then get you file one of the Bulge camp. I am going to play the other guy in my Barbarosa campaign, so that should be good. I want to evaluate both campaigns.
My schedule lets me play during the days, but not at night. Just saying...

I am having trouble installing Dropbox. Working on it now. Did you get the battle file that I uploaded to an earlier reply here? You wanted to be the German, so maybe we can start using this to upload files? Until I get Dropbox working.

Hi Mike,

No nothing seen. Try sending the file to this email until you get Dropbox sorted: hamrock@btinternet.com

Hi Mike, I am not known for turning much down, but unfortunately I cannot fight a 4 hours battle on a 500x400m map that encompasses half the Luftwaffe and the 56th Fighter Squadron let alone a vast amount of Arty, etc... I am curious has anyone play tested this or Scenario Author Tested it, if not, maybe placing it at The Proving Grounds II would be a start to get feedback etc...

I love the effort you have put into this, but again, sorry it is not my cup of tea...

Cheers
-Rick

@Hamrock... got the file, I had to change the name as the 001 has to be on the end for automated feature within CM... Cheers, file back in a bit and Good Luck to you Commander....:)

Original comms were with Hamrock, now I see a message from Rick (Fredrocker) declining play. Another message saying got the file and back to you soon. Hamrock, are you playing? Fredrocker, sorry you aren't interested.

Hamrock, I got the Dropbox installed and working now. I will set it up and put the battle file there.

I have CMBN, CMRT and CMFB. I will play any scenario you like, would just prefer that it's not huge. Either side is ok. I'm on east coast USA and I am good for at least one turn per day.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've got a crazy schedule and a sick puppy today. So, I am new to the dropbox thing and the cmhelper program. I have them set up for two other games just starting. Since it matters to you the size of game, you pick the battle. I have CMBN, FI, RT, SF, and Black Sea. My email is ray6751@gmail.com
How about you set up an invite to your dropbox folder? I don't care which side I play. Send a link or a game file by email.
Mike
