Looking for Opponents (various scenarios CMBN)

Dear Gentlemen,

I have some slots free and fell an itch to try some CMBN scenarios which I never played and I am looking for some enemy commanders who also haven`t played the scenarios to have some double blind games.

Following scenarios I want to give a try:
CW My Honor is my Loyalty (a really Huge Meeting Engagement / supposedly regimental size on a very big map): British Commander wanted
CW Ubique (medium sized Axis attack in Bocage country, reviews on TheBlitz seems promising): British Commander wanted
CW The Maze (Medium/Large Axis Attack on a really beautiful map): Polish Commander wanted
CW Surrender Invites Death (Huge Axis Attack on Authie / Battle is mainly a Tankslugfest): Britisch Commander wanted

Hey Strachwitz,

I kinda fancy another dance with you after our Overlord battle at Carentaan. I would be up for any of the above (never played any of them), take your pick if you like :)

Great! That Battle we once had over Carentan was a blast! Still remembering that one :). What about CW My Honor is my Loyalty? But be warned I had a look at the Axis forces (of course not the British) and the map really is huge and also really a lot of men and vehicles are in this scenario. Do you now if your computer can handle such big games? Not all computers are able to play such monster games....

No, not the tank battle! Looking forward to have a battle against you. I am not 100% sure but I think we never played a game against each other. Maybe we both should play CW The Maze! I will set up a dropbox folder and upload the first file for you!
 
@Strachwitz I'm looking for a new Recon commander for the Final Stand campaign (CMBN). Interessted? (need a decent turnrate)
 
@Dutch Grenadier I haven`t looked much at the campaign yet. Sorry that I am a bit uninformed about. But I read a lot about how good and immersive the campaign is. Even over there at Battlefront. So I am definitely interested :).
What exactly is the job of the recon commander? Actually commanding units on the battlefield or somekind of a intel guy writing up a lot of stuff?

I just had a look at the allied side of that Honour scenario and I think it is beyond my computer (three years old, I need a new one - this can be my excuse!). I need to be at grass level in order to be able to pan around. I am gutted, it looks amazing!

Is there a smaller scenario you would like to try? I can handle most of them, this is infact the first one I have seen that has caused a problem.

You will be in command of a recon unit.
 
So let it be so :). I am ready and reporting for duty! I will try to get up to date with the campaign process and general rules until tomorrow then!

Yeah this one really is a monster game! How about CW Ubique? If I remember correctly it also has quite a big map but smaller and definitely less units. Maybe you could try loading up this one. The scenario came with the CW module so it has to be in your scenario folder. If this also doesn't work I will find a smaller one for sure! I still have lots of scenarios I havent played :)

I have had a look at it and it looks good. It is a large map but more manageable for my machine. Let's go for it? :)
 
Let's do it! If you want you can set this up (Me as Axis, at least Elite settings) and upload the file to our folder? I am not a home right now...
 
Reckon my computer could handle the loyalty scenario, can only play weekends as work away from home and laptop deco couldn't handle it. If your OK with just weekends I'm your man for Brits :cheers:

Hey @stevenh5545 . Thanks for your offer but I think this might not really work. I mostly play during the week and have very very limited time on weekends (for such big games, smaller ones are better). So basically this would lead to a maximum of 1 turn a week. As this battle is 2 hours long it would last about 2 years or so. Sorry for that. But if you like, we can play a small to medium size scenario? If you want I will search one I haven`t played yet...
 
Hey - the file is back with you. You get first go at the set up.
