Greetings to any eyes that land here,

Ok now that I've spent two days keeping warm and watching a crap ton of video AAR's from the membership I would like to commit to making my first one of two videos...

The map is 2019 - Village Forrest 1200 x 1200 V4m CM - BFN

Meeting Engagement / Mirror Match German vs US

Time: 2 hours

House rules subject to changes and adjustments are...

1- No TRP's
2- No aircraft
3- No super tanks
4- Min 2 Companies of infantry
5- Arty is on map

Upon completion of the battles I would like to assemble a video AAR for each match and submit to the forum / You Tube...

We can also agree to min turns per battle per week.

This looks interesting. What size are you thinking about - Large, Huge? Also, what do you mean by super tanks? What is CM-BFN? I have all the modules for CMBN, so taht does not matter to me, just curios.

Its a huge battle lots of points... Play both sides... Panthers and under for the germans... Min 2 companies of infantry each side... Let me know if your up for it

I am for it. So, Panthers are in. What about Tigers, JPzIV, Hetzer?
I guess King Tigers and Jagpanthers are out, right?
Standard rarity? What month?

Yah no super tanks for you as the germans and no air support for the US

I'd like to play both sides with you...

So to recap house rules for both matches...

1- Min purchase 2 full companies of infantry
2- Arty is on map only
3- No TRP's
4- No aircraft
5- No super tanks as the germans
6- No pre arty on turn 1 accept for smoke

Let me know if this seems reasonable or if you have any adjustments...

I'll need your e mail to send you the file for the US and the Ger game

This will be a doozy! Looking forward to it!

I've given us lots of clock time to hack each other up or until one of us breaks... We also play both sides turn by turn as the US and the Ger.

I'm playing the match twice... Going to be a lot of work however I am rusty so I will be able to adapt with minor previous experience... I did't have the heart to say no or flip a coin to cancel a match...
It will be good for me to sharpen my pencil and revise my tactics. It's a lot to command but I'm half German so micro managing is in my blood lol... I also need to start looking into how I am going to record my turns to edit the AAR on a Mac. In all I am very much looking forward to the process as I have always enjoyed watching a pbem match as a movie.

If you want to fast track my example he's a quick version of what I did...

1- Open up a huge quick battle on an open map
2- Set your parameters for your force modifiers first e.g. Veteran, Fit, Normal, leadership ect
3- Make a list of every company there is and its cost with any add ons that might be available like AT assets
4- Load a company of each type and delete 2 of the 3 platoons. but keep the Company commander as a easy reference.
5- Now you can look at each company at a Platoon level and see what they offer and you know the total cost at the full strength.
6- You can always purchase additional individual assets and add them anywhere within the Company if there is something you wish to beef up!

Hope this might help...

Well, we started two games and I feel like this is a sort of masochism - playing the battel of this size on this map. The map that is 2400 by 2400. The average LOS that one can get is about or under 200m and thus this is an infantry heavy battle. The number of units is astronomical, and you have to pay attention to all of them. The good part that we have 2 hours to move them around :)
