The Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo), not to be confused with the smaller neighbouring Republic of the Congo to the west.

Curious why they have police on motorbikes near the 'front' line? I would have thought a mass of foot-mobile police with shields/batons would be the norm, supported by the cars?

Hang in there Louis!

Serious problems have Venezuela with Maduro in the lead which motivates its citizens to emigrate to other lands.
Colombia was the country that most Venezuelans received (more than one million), followed by Peru, with more than 500 thousand; and later Ecuador (220 thousand). Here at least 130 thousand Venezuelans were received, most are professionals (doctors for example) and are between 26 and 44 years old.

Then & now...
Buenos Aires, June 16, 1955: a failed coup d'état against then-President General Juan Perón left more than 300 civilians dead around the government house, when Gloster Meteor airplanes and the Navy bombed the place. Down, damaged vehicles and buses in the vicinity of government house.
