In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

This movie left me feeling completely underwhelmed... apart from a few suspenseful moments it never really gets going. In fact when the movie ends and the credits start rolling is when I thought it was about to get interesting.

It has a weak backstory and although the idea is good it just wasn't very well executed.

Yeah I caught this one the other night with my old lady! It's not bad, kind of a new twist on the monster invasion end of the world (usually zombies) type thing. But I too felt left down, like a missed opportunity. Certainly expected better since it averaged a very high 95% over at RT.

I love this type of films. End of the world, invasion of zombies or martians, catastrophes, etc. Definitely the culprit is Hollywood.

I watched some clips on youtube. I simply cannot believe that those aliens would have almost wiped out humanity. Yes, they are scary looking, but we have armor piercing bullets, tanks, and attack helicopters. Nope.
