Exactly. I was in Special Operations over 20 years ago when night vision was in its infancy and we conducted 99% of our operations under cover of darkness. Recent history has shown the disasterous consequnces of prolonged daylight operations. Rangers in Somalia conducted numerous daytime ops to the point that their actions became completely predictable to the Somalis. The debacle that was The Battle of the Olympic Hotel was the result.
