This made me realize that the sum total of my understanding of Japanese history was reading Shogun in 7th grade and studying WWII.

A docudrama from medieval era that still sticks with me. Not as well produced as the netflix one but its another story of extreme ambition for glory with ruthless endevaour.

Just binged this all on Sunday. Very good documentary/docudrama.
Was very much interested in the civil war era in Japan and this was a good introduction.
I didnt know about the the whole Japan/Korea/China dynamic in the 1590s.

The displaying of the enemy heads ceremony after the battle is straight up creepy.

I will have to check this out, I enjoyed the Film Samurai ..... Really like that Era of History
