New to the site and wanted to say hi

Hey all! I was poking around the net looking for aerial pics of Sainte Mere Eglise for a future FoW table and stumbled onto some great ones here. After looking around and realizing its dedicated to fellow wargamers, particularly WWII wargamers, I had to register. A little about myself, I'm in the military and stationed in the UK. I've been a wargamer for the last 2 and a half to three years. A friend of mine introduced me to Warmachine but my love of history and fascination with WWII pulled me to Flames of War. I'm apart of a gaming group that meets twice a week for right now satisfies my appetite for rolling dice and moving miniatures around the table. I'd like to use this site as a reference for setting up tables and scenarios as well as perhaps giving but mostly getting tips on painting miniatures. I'm pretty new to FoW so I'm still building my armies and terrain. Right now I have a 101st rifle company and looking to get a panzer grenadier from the 2nd SS. I'm looking forward to posting and researching here for my WWII games.

Welcome to the group. Give the Combat Mission series of games a try there are free downloads from Battlefront(dot)com

Good to have you with us! :)

Joining this community was the right decision because not only FoW is a great game - Combat Mission rocks too!
And like FoW it is at it's best when played against human opponents!

Just like @ben dayhoe says: Give it a try! :cool:

But in our download section you will also find a lot of new scenarios to play against the AI.

Enjoy the club and become a part of our community - there are many reliable gaming partners here, plenty of stuff to
check out and good people to meet. :)
