That was a lot of money back then. You could buy my parents house for ten thousand dollars in 1962.
Operation-Moolah, that's a good one.
Moolah was slang for money, usually lots of money.
Growing up, when something was expensive, we'd say "Whoa, that's a lot of moolah."
I still say it occasionally today.
