Hi, I noticed there's no thread for Oculus Rift here yet so here it is. Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset, that is you get 3D vision with wide field of view and headtracking in the same package. Tracking is 1:1, so unlike TrackIR, to look over your shoulder, you really must look over your shoulder. Although the screen resolution is poor at the moment, the 3D effect and headtracking work so well that you really feel like being inside the game. In the final version they have promised at least 1080p screen or maybe 1440p, so it's going to be even better.
It's going to be released 2014, but they have sold some devkits (the first prototype with only 720p resolution screen) already. I just bought mine used, going to receive it next week. After I tried Oculus in local store, I just had to get it. Would be fun to play CM with it but I don't have high hopes for Battlefront to release Oculus support.
