No idea but I imagine it would have to be a continuation of something that started in the Usenet days or perhaps a mailing list that switched to a forum in the late '90s that could work too.

Yes. The old BBS days. Better question. What's the oldest continuing running wargame website? Any service any war. I was thinking of one that may have begun with Steel Panthers.

Ian, I used to run a dial up BBS out of my apartment on my Commodore 64 in the late 1980s. Tudor Nightmare Village, lol.

If I remember correctly, the software featured some sort of space conquest game that users could play when they dialed in. I cheated.

I played another guy WCSII TANKs! over a BBS circa '94 '95. Cant remember the site but there was a war game section with a handful of players. Worked well. You used to find dial ups from magazines like Board Watch. Oh the sound of the modem and seeing what lurked in all those user areas. Tons of code examples. Gardening tips and alike.
