Hi,

Back in the days I made a few sites that was named cmakdb/cmbbdb and then RF struck so gaming went somewhat back in the shadows..

But now when I started with CMx2 I really missed an easy way to see units with all the stats when choosing them in a QB or such.

So I started to create a little page for CMx2 games/modules.

This is only the beginning, only CM:BN data is filled in and the pictures are only placeholders and so forth.
I made it simple beq of the mobile first experience. So that it is easy to move around with you smartphone/tablet when in game..

Hopefully it can help someone, and if you have any ideas. Pls just shout them out.

All gameinfo on BN i almost in now.
Then some search and sorting features should be in focus (i think) :)

Hi,

Really kind words here!
That's why it's fun to create (give back) stuff to the community :)

Now all the data from BN is at the "live site".
Going to do a "roadmap" page with rss or such..
And some function to send in "bugs" to resp unit.
Upload screenshot function for units..

I think :)

And all suggestions for improvement is always welcome!

This might be the perfect for documenting the following; or maybe there is already a downloadable spreadsheet with these details.
What forces comprise a Grenadier Bat. HQ /with Support team or an American Airborne platoon? I would like to have a database or spreadsheet that I can take a quick look at when making a force selection without having to look at every detail during force purchase.

When Bootie tells me I have 8 purchase points in one of our campaigns, I want to be able to open a document and review the various formations and see what they are comprised of before I even start the game. Perhaps that already exists and I just haven't seen it?

I don't think it exists yet.
But If someone comes up with a good idea how to collect it, I'm really interested to collect it and add it to the site :)

And I think that the data is going to be really interesting when sorting/searching/filtering is added.
With the option of different outputs...

And now all the CM:CW data is in :)
But MG is still left, and in that module lots of units were added.. Phew :)

I have a question about what you guys think.

I'm fiddling with search/filter/nagivation for the moment.

Do you have any ideas or preffered way how to search for units.

A little searchbox is a standard, but instead of the simple:
type -> subtype -> unitlist -> unit, I'm thinking how you can make it more userfriendly.

All ideas are welcome :)

I've updated with some search mockups.
What do you think about this?

Buttongroups for Country, Game/Module, Type.
And this will show available subunit types (in the mock, the vehicle type is pressed)
And below the selections should show up.

Perhaps with a choice of sorting different, showing different info in the filtered optionss?

Hi,

All help are welcomed gladly :)
The code, design, information, ideas and all other thingies that "needs" to be done are welcomed.

Is you want to, just push me a mess or a mail. The "admin" stuff has rather sharp edges for the moment, but it is usable to fill in information atleast :)
  • Screenshots of the units are very welcomed.

  • Some kind of graphic for the info on the detail page. Both for "Defence table" and "Speed, PowerToRatio, Offroad, Turning".
    Perhaps some kind of meter, or such?

  • Info on CM:FI, CM:GL is on the todo too. Beq I don't have those games, yet..

  • Or just some feature ideas, ui testing.
And it is not some kind of full-time commitment, it's a fun little community project.. No more, no less :)

After some timeoff I returned to this little project :)
And now all the Soviet Units from CM:RT are in the db..
Next up is the German ones, then I will fix some search/sort/filter stuff.. So it finally will get usable to ppl :)

Sadly I don't own CM:RT yet, so if anyone wants to send screenshots my way for the different units I would be happier than a .... (insert something happy here) :)
