Considering it was Ithikial's 12,000pt video AAR that brought me here to FGM, I'd like to try my hand at a huge battle of my own.

I have a good PC, and can do 1x turn per day without issue so I think I am up to the task...

If anyone is interested, let's work together on the details such as;
-map
-module (I have them all)
-force size
-parameters etc...

Onward!

I could play a really big game.
How many points do you want to play???

If you want to play more than 7200, we'll need to manually add forces it the editor.
Have you done that before????
It's not too hard, but takes a little time.

Also I made the map the 12000 point AAR is played on, so we could use that if you like?

Well if it isn't WynnterGreen himself! ;)

Thanks for taking up the offer, I will play as many points as you think is wise, I am only just starting my first huge 7200pt battle with another FGM player, so this scale is new to me.

I have played many CM1 QB's using the editor to input forces, while be careful to preserve the FOW, so I am up for that method.

As for the map, I'd prefer to try another if you don't mind. I've watched 2x parts of the 12,000pt AAR, and am about to start a battle on a modified version of the same map, so I don't want to overdue it.

While you decide on force size, let me poke around and see what I can come up with for map options.

And by modified version of that map, I mean YOUR modified version! :)
Dutch was kind enough to share it with me.

OK, lets just go for a Huge QB Force then.
You choose the map and also choose Germans or Allies.

I suggest the following rules (Negotiable):

*Conditions
Day / Random Weather
Rarity: Standard
Month: September

*33% Max Armour
A maximum of one third of points can be allocated to Armour units.
Any vehicle that can ONLY be purchased from the Armour Single Vehicle section is considered Armour for calculating the 33% maximum.
Vehicles that can be purchased from the Mechanized Infantry section, halftracks etc, do not count to the 33% Armour total.

*One/Three BigCat
AXIS, only every third Armour piece can be a BigCat.
You need to purchase two Armour assets before purchasing your first BigCat, then two more before purchasing your second, etc.
BigCats are Tigers, Panthers, Jagdpanzer.
NO King Tigers or Jagdpanthers.

*Allies Armour purchase is unrestricted, except by rarity.

*Organic Artillery +1
Meaning all the normal Organic Artillery rules apply except that you're allowed to purchase 1 non Organic Artillery Asset.
The non-organic artillery asset purchased must be 150mm or less.

*No Air

*No TRPs
Setup turn Registered Artillery is ok, but no firing for effect on turn one (except smoke) and no registered artillery on setup zones

* Tank Crews
As soon as possible, Tank and AFV crews retire to the rear of the map when their vehicles are destroyed.

I'll be out for the rest of the day, but feel free to set a game up and invite me to a Dropbox folder.

I'm happy to take Brits, Americans, Heer or SS.

Perfect.
I like the rules, and I have a 2000x2000m map that is well suited for a ME.
Adding to a DB folder for you to review before I move ahead, just to be sure.
Email inbound.

Replaced that map with a beautiful 2kmk x 2km normandy countryside I found in the BF repository, this one is a beauty.
Have a look and let's discuss how to play it out. Could be a good ME or an attack defend across the river....

Yep, I've played Normandy Countryside, but will play on it again.

I've also added a new map of mine, called 'WynnterGreen France Somewhere' to our Dropbox, for you to have a look.

It's 2.6km x 2, with 7 Objectives for a Meeting Engagement.

I'm on turn ten of my first 'play test' of it.
Seems great so far, have a look and pick whichever you like and set up the game.

I'm happy to play as Brits, Americans, Heer or SS on either map.

Heyo, sorry for delay, will take a peek at that map right now...

Oh wow, another really nice map, looks perfect. How about I set us up a Huge ME on it tonight.

Hi Wynntergreeen, when do you think you'll upload that new map?
