Panzer Ace You've Probably Never Heard Of

His name crops up now and then. Apparently quite the rebel with regards to regulations and officers. I've always thought some of the jaunty pictures make him look like a cross between a salty U-Boat captain and Steve McQueen.

I'd heard of him - only Kts Cross winner from the non-officer ranks I believe. He does seem to have been a bit of a maverick.

Plus - that video was a bit lack-lustre. I got bored with it.
