Panzer Corps

If you played Panzer General 2 back in the days, then you might like Panzer Corps, which is a fairly new game.
I've played it. It's basically the same as PG2, but with more features. The unit encyclopedia is nice. It has info on the units and huge and detalied cut-through picture/drawings, like the ones you see in ww2 books.
The "graphics" are better aswell. You can also play multiplayer.

I don't know if you guys have seen this game, so here it is.

I probed it for a time but wasn´t impressed. And the AI I found not so challenging. Never played it H2H. So my conclusion for me is I stick to PG.

@Ithikial I have not really tried it. I just opened it, chose different types of tiles and made a small map. Then I added some units and thought to myself "OK, this is easy and kind of fun".
There's no pics of it on the internet, but if you google "panzer corps editor", the google-result will show a picture of it (the adress to the pic does not work).

Yes, it works quite well -- have played around with it quite a bit a while back ... editor is very easy to use ... exporting the maps is a little trickier -- you basically have to screengrab them.

I even exported some of the graphics files to make sexy-looking eye-candy units for a campaign idea I was toying with... turned out to be too complicated in the end.

I'm downloading Panzer Corps as I write this.Thought I'd take a look at FGM to see what people say think of it. By the sound of it, the editor could be useful CM campaigns Ithikial. Have you played it yet?

Nope but I was thinking solely for the editor and ability to make pretty custom hex maps. Would of held off a bit longer Double, apparently Steam sales start on the 26th of Nov. :)
 
damn! Oh well the map editor looks useful - and there are a lot of good stock ones in the game. And the strategy game is a decent one to boot. Anyone playing Panzer Corps on FGM?

Bought it at Steam on Friday for 9.99 € - mainly because of the map editor but also started playing the first scenario (or campaign) - it is fun! :)
 
I think so because back in the days of the "Wargams Player Club" there was a PanzerCorps section with a lot of PBEM ladder games going on.
