Question about uniform mods

I ve decided to mod my us paras in CMBN with MG module as 101 AB. I found two mods with unfirms and patches of 101 AB: Damian's (101st) Paratroopers and ez_US_Airborne-Patched_Uniforms_Normandy. But it seems that mod covers only part of uniforms, rest is still like default CMBN 82AB olive green.
So I put together uniforms templated from both mods to have more mixed uniforms. Renamed them as follows: "smod_american_m42-para_uniform, smod_american_m42-para_uniform 2, smod_american_m42-para_uniform 3" etc. up to 12 but no matter how many more uniforms I duplicate with higher numbers there is still always after deployment of battalion 1 soldier per squad still in default 82AB uniform, in HQ units and in specialist teams too. Not sure if there is different set of uniforms ingame for paras in normandy and paras in Holland ?
I wish to cover all soldiers with 101 patched uniforms but i dont know if there is a way in naming uniforms templates so game will change unfiroms for all soldiers ? I know for gaming is not much a change but for fluff and personal enjoment it means a lot. I will appreciate any help.

There is a [holland] modtag in there so if your location dropdown for the scenario is set as Holland then you will need your mod to have [holland]
and if your appearance setting is 101st, then your modtag should be I think [101 holland] but you might even want to use [101 holland spidey].
Check the files in the game to see if it is [101] or [101st] I forget and am not at my gaming PC.

Does numbering uniforms work? I was under the impression that only worked for tanks. Where else does it work?

I did some testing and it seems only when I choose location: Holland I got this random uniforms of 82AB, in base CMBN all units re set in mod uniforms of 101.

so it looks like in MG module is some random uniform template of 82 AB which moded uniforms dont cover

@kohlnenklau - How does one tell which modtag is set for a specific scenario? Are multiple tags allowed? Thank you.

Yes, multiple modtags are allowed and I use them all the time.

You can open the scenario in the editor and go to the mod tag section.
you will see something like:

africa, fj, ortona, hurtgen

Numbering works but the first one in the list (the one without a number after it) is effectively '0'. So so need to numbers the second uniform file as '1' onwards. If you are looking to replace the official Holland mod tagged file you also need to include enough uniform files to override other non mod tagged uniform files otheriwse you may see a mix and match for the default (in this case Normandy) uniform. Confused? :)

Honestly I'm not sure why you would as the uniform quality jumped markedly with the MG module release onwards. In the editor you can sellect the 101st airborne in the appearence list.

I' m not a big fun of clone troops which we got with every new BF release, I like a bit of diversity on battlefield. In late period of war elite troops had a bit of free hand in using various patterns of cammo, especially in German Army. Thats why I like Aris's German army uniform mod for CMFI and I wished he made same for CMBN+ for allies and axis forces.

@spidey My 2 cents. ;)
One tip is to use the multiple tags to your advantage to add variety.
Basically you could/can/might create a cool airborne platoon where the HQ is wearing a certain uniform by appearance setting and the teams or squads could be different by using the 82nd setting but having it point to 101st uniform tagged as 82nd. Get it? Also, some platoons (weapons) can have an HQ support team (fully manned as 3 soldiers) and you can set it to be 50% headcount in the editor and randomly it can start as just 1 soldier and if his appearance is greatcoat, you can mod his greatcoat to have sergeants stripes with screaming eagle patch. Just only that team as greatcoat, no others or they show with stripes. It is just a trick to have fun.

With great help of kohlenklau my paras in Holland now look like this:
