LOL that's not the version but rather nice......They were in fact ladies in the second World War who downed tree's for the war effort mostly taking part in Scotland, they have erected a Bronze statue as a tribute to them, in Scotland, Think about it no chain saw's just the axe, the quoter for the day was 10 tree's per lady, in they never reached that target it was more like 6 trees

Felling a tree with an axe is no small feat. I doubt I could do 10 a day.
 
I went to the Land Girls and Lumber Jills exhibition at Edinburgh Castle. It wasnt that great.... it was quite a small exhibit and consisted of lots ofpictures of women in dungarees.
