I use to frequent this site about 4 years ago, I am very happy that it is still around.
I look forward to discussion and war gaming in general!
I am a fan of the Combat Mission and Arma Games, In terms of tabletop I play Flames of war, Warhammer 40k, and some Pen and Papers. I am deeply interested in Military History and history in general. I look forward to the fruitfulness of my time here.

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played against other humans
- but in our download section you will also find a lot of new scenarios to play against the AI.

Enjoy the club and become a part of our community - there are many reliable gaming partners here, plenty of stuff to
check out and good people to meet. :)



My good advice to all new recruits for playing H2H matches in a community:

1. Don't think too much about your opponent or the ladder - play your game as if it was against the AI.
2. Win with equanimity, lose with a smile.
3. It's a long way to the top and you will be defeated many times - accept it, learn from your mistakes and gather experience. ;)
4. It's only a GAME. :cool:

You are right though!
nothing like the thrill of a hot-seat or Email match with CMAK
(I haven't gotten to trying the new on out yet, though I have it purchased haha ><)

I live around the Phoenix area currently.
I hail originally from North Dakota.
My real name is Garet, I believe I was under that name the last time I was here.
I am just getting into Flames of war, I have yet to play a match with someone. I have watched many battle reports and read over all the rules though. It is a hobby I have eagerly just started ^^
 
Well North Dakota is a bit to far for me ;) But I'm a well experienced FoW player so if you have any questions just ask.
 
Well, now I live in Arizona.. but from what I recall most of the folks here hail from across seas from me. (Which is awesome, don't get me wrong) Only downside is that it does make meeting up hard =p
We will have to chat sometime, I have been debating between army choices.
What part of the Netherlands do you hail from =)?
 
I live about 10km South of Nijmegen. (the area where the 82nd airborne landed)

If you don't mind me asking. What force do you use in FoW? Do you do any PC Gaming?
 
Well leave the "warmer part of Holland" out... The weather in Holland is the same everywhere :)
You should visit it. I live in the best area near Nijmegen, Arnhem and Overloon.

I have about 3000 points Germans. Mostly I play a Panzer Lehr panzergrenadier company from the Atlantik Wall book or a Panzergrenadier company from the Grey Wolf book or the Dutch SS company from Grey Wolf.
And yes I play PC games (CMBN all modules, Arma III and some loose games)

I was looking into the Germans, I really prefer the vast amount of options available to them.
Also looks like a hoot to paint!
 
Welcome back mate. Hopefully you'll find enough things of interest here to stick around this time. And as a shameless plug, you really ought to give the new CM a run, I find it to be an especially challenging alternative to playing miniatures.
