Welcome to the club

thanks all for the greets! trying to look at which games I should invest in now. suggestions considered :)

thanks

suggestions considered :)

Not knowing your preferences this is just a shot in the dark...Combat Mission Battle for Normandy would be first on my list, as it has the Commonwealth module available and Market Garden is to be released soon. If your budget supports it, there is also Combat Mission Fortress Italy, which also has a module out, Gustav Line. A preponderance of the membership is playing Combat Mission in one form or another.

Yes, yes, yes - Combat Mission x2 (CMBN, CMFI and all Modules) has won the "Golden Shork Award" in 2012 and 2013 in the categories "Best Game Ever",
"Best Game Of All Times" and "Best Game Of The 19th, 20th and 21st Century". :)

I've been touting this, but no one has really been paying any attention, but World of Tanks http://worldoftanks.com/ has grabbed my attention and instantly become my favorite pc game of all time. Really. I wish others would take heed as it would be fun to have a WoT open discussion here on FGM.

Anyway, do not buy it (actually, the basic game is free) if you want to play any other war game in the near future.

Hey @mTk I play WOT. Same handle as here. I haven't played in a while sometime my son is using my account. But it would be cool to get a FGM clan going.

Greetings and welcome! What type of tabletop wargaming? I play FOW and Bolt Action
We play Bolt action, War at Sea, SOME 40k warhammer, been doing some playtesting of boardgames designed by my good friend and fellow gamer John Poniske- My son and I playtested Lincoln's War for him and Hearts and Minds and some of his yet unpublished games as well. We also play the hell out of the Napoleonic wars and Virgin Queen games from GMT, as well as all version of Axis and Allies games.
The Table top gaming just appealed as it was that time when a son needs a Dad and a friend, not a guy who's on the computer all the time..which is my main reason for leaving the scene here a few years ago along with some "other" situations... now he's almost 18 and really a genius at strategy and wargaming stuff and a much better tactician than me :) or at least I let him think that much anyways... LOL
