There are enough Quacks promoting their own brands of pseudoscience and general nonsense without getting celebrity endorsements. Apart from anything it really makes me mad that the general public trust "celebrities" to give them scientific advice on how to live their life, I wish this campaign all the luck in the world to try and make this world a bit more of a rational place.

Bad science is everywhere, celebrities are a tip of a very big iceberg. Much of the material spouted through the media often comes from dubious sources. Many pressure groups set up pseudo-committees to publish propaganda packaged as "research" or "a recent report". The calibre of journalist today is so low they just spout the reports as "gospel" as all they are interested in is filling all 24hours of news coverage required each day.
