Stumbled upon this old video made by the SB Virtual unit ARRC that I belonged to before it disbanded. I am 1/A ( Paladin ) ....at least I was until the arty took me out.

Tanks are STRV122's

And another one......you will have to excuse Zips choice in music and some of the lads calling Centauro tank destroyers Centurions,I am 4/A in this one . CV9040 commander.

Ahhhh........yeah afraid so. From a tank sim stand point its excellent but limited .Although there is a huge number of available vehicles Only the vehicles that Esim's military customers have paid for have the operational 3d interiors so your looking at Leopard 2A5 and 2A6 the Swedish STRV122 which is basically a modified Leopard and the Abrahms for tanks. For APCs you have the CV9040 series. the CV9035 and the Spanish Pizarro. The Bradley is playable but has no interior and none of the Warsaw pact stuff can be manned. The in game infantry modeling is hideous in appearance but tactically functional. Lots of other stuff to play with like recon drones etc.

I haven't played or paid much attention over the past year and a half so I don't know what changes have taken place or what is expected in the near future. I have heard that the infantry modeling is being improved and the the Challenger 2 is there but can't as yet be manned. The problem there is getting access to current production armored vehicles to accurately model there interiors and systems is problematic to say the least.

I have had a great time with this title but when ARRC disbanded I lost interest. This title is hugely dependent on the rite people to get the most from it.

Paladin you old bugger! Its me, Katie! :) (Kingtiger)
We sure had some fun with ARRC! You should come back for Zips next campaign ;)

LOL !! Hello KT,how ya been mate ? A Zip campaign may just be what I needed to convince me to re-install SB !!

oh the usual old. Working,Sleeping,working,sleeping.... Zip will do a campaign based on the playable T-72 that comes in 2.6 upgrade in a few weeks, We being the Finish Defence Forces against Russian intrusion into Finland :)

I will ofcourse hump around doing the QM job as always :)

How is it with you? have your kid finished his tour in A-stan yet?

shameless little bump :) 2.6 is arriving within 24Hours! Yeah! The biggest update since SBP came out! plenty of wonderful vehicles and functions! :)

Having reinstalled SB and forked over another $25 for the latest update I have to say the improvements are dramatic and well worth the dollars spent and then some.Improved infantry modeling more vehicles with functioning 3D interiors and new vehicles such as SB's first fully functional ( with 3D interior )Warsaw Pact tank the T-72. The Challenger 2 is now playable,no 3D interior yet but playable all the same and a host of other improvements. Now if I can only get both active brain cells firing at the same time I will be able to play again. :(

Note: You can play SB via Mouse, key board shortcuts and drop down menus or in the case of the vehicles that have 3D interiors bye flipping switchs ,pushing buttons and twisting knobs as all the controls pertinent to the game work in the 3D interiors. Pretty amazing stuff when ya think about it !!!

One of the best if not THE best scenario and Map creation editors around as well.
Now....if I can talk KT ( Chainsaw ) and Zipuli into having another go at ARRC ....................................... :)

Will try to post a list of available player controlled vehicles later today.

There is a free demo available for Steelbeasts pro PE available. From what I understand its the full version playable for a period of two weeks. Be advised that it is a complicated title and there is a hefty learning curve.

nice to see you back on track Walt :) hope we can join in on a TGIF battle sometime!

Hey KT.........Yup installed the update and drug my trusty CV90/40 out of the garage last week. Lots of new stuff to play with !!! Will take a bit to get things sorted back out ,may jump into TGIF tonight...not sure yet.

I love the 3D Infantry, looking forward to next update when they will receive some well earned AI upgrades :). I fell asleep so missed this TGIF, looking to join in on next Friday instead!

Will look for ya next Friday maybe...Didn't play last night, was late getting some stuff done and had a minor teamspeak problem that needed to be sorted out,but will be ready to go next week.

This is a link to an AAR for the multiplayer coop mission played this past Saturday. Two members of the FGM were present, myself ( Paladin ) and Chainsaw ( King Tiger ) . There were 18 players in total,Finns,Germans,Swedes,Brits,Spaniards and Yanks ( my apologies to any nationalities I missed ) a very international force !!.
