They all look smaller in person than in pictures, for what it is worth. I remember seeing my first M113 at the base in Calgary, having built plastic model kits of them as a kid, and wondering if it was a miniature version. We have a Sherman in front of our armouries and it still defies belief that 70+ rounds of ammo and five men would fit inside the thing...
What amazes me in that chart is how comparatively small the Tiger 1 is.
The Maus is obscenely big.
I had the exact same feeling when I bumped into the Sherman at Merville Barracks in Colchester.
I had the exact opposite reaction. There was a very large WWII vehicle collection here in No. CA that Nort and I visited some years back. My first reaction upon seeing an M4 sitting in the middle of a variety of other tanks was "My God! That thing is ginormous!" I guess it was the high profile that surprised me.
