Hi Guys

Since Ive been to New York (and absolutely loved it) Ive become a little more concious of the news in relation to the USA and the politics and such like. Ive already started thinking about my next trip to the US. Possibly the west coast next time.

Anyways without going into too much detail or inciting a riot can someone please explain to me what the Tea Party is and its history. There are plenty of sites detailing it but I want a laymans view.

As you may know austerity measures are on the way in the U.S.A. The tea party are those that got it made and they don't want to share the pain. For example they might be on medicare and they dont want anyone younger getting on govt healthcare thinking that they will lose some of their benefits having to share with others.:eyebrows:

The tea party is a politcal movement (not quite a party) that has as its core beleifs that less Government is better, except in National Defense. The American public is tired of Government bailouts at the cost of future generations prosperity (deficit spnding and the National Debt being outof contol) They want our Politicians to be more conscience of their consituents than their Lobbists.

I grew up, lived, and worked in NYC. The Tea Party movement is primarily citizens who have had it with decades of wasteful government spending. These are working people, not millionaires, who have paid their taxes and dont wish to underwrite free rides for those who never contributed.... There are some fringe groups associated with the TP and I dont subscribe to their extreme views....

Don't visit San Francisco to get a tan or to seek warm weather. If you insist on it being warm (although no guarantee) Sept-Nov is your best bet.
The definition of "cold" in the Bay Area is the mid 50's(F).
However, at no time of the year is it sunny/warm inside a bar. 'course it doesn't need to be.

Late August to early October is the best weather in the SF Bay Area.
