Howdy, I am new here...using my same handle I use on the Battlefront Forums.
I have been a long time CM player..really enjoy all the games...trying to become more proficient at H-2-H combat. Figured this was the place to be.

I am an old Navy guy...Naval Flight Officer, USNA '87...flew P-3s during my time in the service.
Now just trying to make it to retirement from my civilian life.
Enjoy CM and reading military history.
Looking forward to finally cracking the code on making decent scenarios and outsmarting a human opponent.

Joining this community was the right decision because Combat Mission is at it's best when played head to head (H2H)
- as you already know. ;)

For to get involved into the PBEM H2H gaming action, please go to the gaming section and choose the category with
the game that you'd like to play (CMBS or CMBN etc.). There you'll find the postings for gaming requests
(just scroll down a little). And there you may also start your own, of course. ;)

This is a great club with a fantastic atmosphere of goodwill, good humour, sportsmanship, fierce competition, evil tacticians and a bit of madness.

Check out the site Manual for excellent advice and some useful tips and FAQ's. Plenty of amateur historians (military and otherwise) here, but we take life a little less seriously than the BF site :)
 
Welcome aboard. Beat Navy. USMA '83. So @Grunt GI, does that mean you were a marine after graduation? Anyway you will have no trouble perfecting your CM human opponent expertise with this club.
 
Thanks all...actually I was a Naval Flight Officer...flying P-3s...So, little question...how do I show the icons for the various CM games I have in my signature line? I tried uploading to my signature block and it says NO IMAGES allowed or something like that.

NO! Sorry - there was no criticism intended or anything negative. Absolutely not! You are new here and you may ask questions, of course. I was just trying to be funny (I'm no original English speaker). ;)

When I was new here I couldn't even find my own arse and @Dutch Grenadier helped me with nearly everything. LOL! :D
