I have initiated the formation of a clan within World of Tanks for 'The FGM'.
This unit is open to any FGM members who wish to join.
It is known as the '1st FGM Armor'. [1FGM]

I have established a channel on the free commo tool 'RaidCall' for us to use during play.

What level are you guys at ?

Can somebody with no experience of the game join?
 
No set rule Bootie. I have a couple of light tanks, a couple of medium tanks, a couple of TDs and a couple of heavy tanks. I tried arty, but I just can't seem to get the hang of it.

When I play, I just think about what I feel like at the moment. Do I want to play a tank that darts around and harasses others and spots for teammates? If so, I play a light tank. Do I want to play a lurking sniper? If so, I play a TD. Do I want to go into close quarters in a city and brawl? If so, I play a heavy. Do I want to play a flanker? If so, I play a medium.

When I first started, I lost all my games. Then I started learning the strength and weaknesses of each tank and started doing better. Also, there are videos by the Mighty Jingles that are very informative, if you have the time. Google: World of Tanks Mighty Jingles. He does tank reviews, battle replays, "how to" videos, and clinics on game mechanics. It has made all the difference in my performance ... and level of enjoyment.
 
I have been getting random crashes now post update. It will happen right in the middle of a match with no warning or error reports. Happened on a few different maps so I don't think that its related to one in particular. Anyone else getting this?
 
FYI folks...the 1st FGM Armor is set up on the NA East Server.
Now I am unsure what effect that will have on our unit. As I am new to this game, I don't know if guys on other servers can join us from their servers, or if the server the unit is set up on is exclusive. Would someone with knowledge/experience address that question please.

And don't feel bad @Bootie, I'm pretty much cannon fodder at this point as well.
 
I've registered on the European servers way back when. And as far as I know you can't switch continents, so to speak. And I'm fairly sure having multiple accounts even if they are on different servers is against the rules.
 
When I fire up the game, I have the option of joining only 2 servers...either the NA East or the NA West. I chose the NA East because that's where I live. If we in fact can't get together due to this restriction, we may well want to start a Euro clan as well, but it will require someone who can access their servers to start. I guess we can call the Euro team...The 2nd FGM Armor.
 
Ok I just set up another account and registered it to the NA Servers. Downloaded the client and it works fine. Im back to the start again but I have only played 28 battles so should be up to where I was in a day or two. Any immediate tips on how to start out... thinks to do etc.

My nickname is B00tie (those are zeroes btw).
 
Yes. There is a bug in the 9.0 version. While the game is now HD and looks awesome, there has been an issue with crashes during the game. WoT knows and supposedly a fix is in the offiing, with v9.0.1 coming soon.

In the meantime, the temporary work around is to set your graphics from HD to standard, and turn off sniper mode. I have had no crashes since doing so. It still looks ok, but just not as good as HD.
