I just never could warm up to this series.
I think the problem was there was soo much time between seasons I'd just lose touch with the story and characters.
Books were terrific though.

Then there is "Tales of the Vikings" from television's Golden Age for those who might remember it.
Never seen them before... but the old favorite has to be ...
I remember that one very well. My very first introduction to Vikings!
Across all the centuries, across all the seas. All of them? Hahaha

I enjoyed the first 3 seasons ... season 4 was a storytelling mess ... so much relied on coincidence... budget cuts made the battle scenes even worse. (and the portrayal of the Welsh was frankly laughable -- for some bizarre reason they ALL wore red...LOL)
Will give season 5 a try ... some welcome escapism.

Watched the first episode... it was ok... expected better though!
That was the way I kind of felt about the entire series..that I watched.
