Photojournalist Bill Biggart was covering the events of September 11 and died tragically in the fall of the second tower of the World Trade Center.
Four days later his body was recovered from the rubble together with some of his belongings, including his cameras, which were delivered to his wife.
Biggart's widow shortly after gave the camera to a good friend and fellow photographer. Convinced that the images had not survived the catastrophe, the friend managed to rescue the flash card of one of them in perfect condition.
The card contained 150 pictures, among which is the last picture (above) taken at 10:28:24. At 10:30 the second tower fell.
