The Tay Rail Bridge

1065: Westminster Abbey in London, built under the auspices of Edward the Confessor, is consecrated.
1879: The Tay Rail Bridge - at the time the longest in the world - in Scotland collapses, killing 75 people.
1895: The Lumière brothers show their first film to a paying audience, and cinema is born.



1979: Tay Bridge rail disaster memorial
