THEATRE OF WAR

I have all of them, to me though TOW 1 was the better game of the series. Bought TOW Africa just for the Centauro add-on and sadly I have not really played Centauro. Have had Korea since March but other games got in its way notably Shogun 2 and CMBN !!
 
I am revisiting the game recently. Playing the Poland campaign. First mission is kicking my butt.

Revisit the BF forum on TOW 3. Tartari is a brain over there with the game. Should be on the 1C team in my opinion. He is porting TOW 1 and TOW 2 maps, statics, and units over to the TOW 3 game. With the new updates installed in TOW 3 this should make the WW2 game alot better. Check it out.
 
What made TOW1 for me was the Polish and French campaigns as these are quite rare.
 
I own both ToW1 and ToW2 and have played them both. Although nice, they lacked a certain appeal and I didn't really get into them. I suppose I'll revisit thems should I happen to run out of other WW2 games... :biggrin1:
 
I got TOW1 in March, didn't really give it a chance since CMBN came out.
 
I tried to install this (TOW and TOW2) but the graphics don't work on my system. Funny, they used to work on my older computer.
 
Got tow2 kursk/Caen and tow2 Africa/Centauro I'm down for multiplayer.

That thread in tow3 forum about Tartari's WWII mod look really amazing. I'm going to buy TOW3 just for that when it's released.
 
I may be wrong but TOW3 is the Korea game and its been out almost a year.
 
I installed it had a look and then started playing Shogun2 and then CMBN was released and the rest is history..

Importing the tow1 vehicles sounds so cool but will they be high poly textured? I sure hope they will be.

I had the same problem. Huge polygons appearing all over the place etc. Apparently it was down to the drivers for my ATI card. Late last year the new influx of drivers seemed to fix this problem so I can now play ToW again.
 
Got TOW2 working and upgraded. My upgrade allowed me to do so. TOW2 looks interesting. The units seem stupid but the graphics are pretty and I understand that the multi player will allow co-op play.

has anyone played against the AI with a human alliance in mutliplayer?

I'm playing the "Kursk" demo at the moment - it's fun. I think, that I will buy me the game (package) for that price. :)
 
Definitely pick those titles up at that price. I enjoy ToW, and I'm currently playing the US campaign in ToW 2: Africa. I know it gets slagged a lot at BFC's forums, but it's a great series. It just has a different design direction than BFC's titles, and that's not a bad thing in my book. Not to mention, it looks 20x better than CMx2 ever will.
