This has happened twice now in separate battles.
I give a German anti-tank gun orders to unload, move to a position and deploy.
Check on it two/three turns later, and it is in position, still limbered and has stopped deploying without me having cancelled the "Deploy Unit" command.
Kind of just decided by itself to not bother setting up the gun.
I checked, the unit hadn't taken any enemy fire, direct or indirect.
Just weird.
