Picked this up just today and can't stop playing it. It's brilliant and brutal. It also tugs at your gut throughout about how evil you can be.
I don't get it. What's the point? What does the player do?
Survival! You start with a core group of players and minimal resources. You build things you need and fortify your house during the day. You scavenge for supplies and food at night. Your choices in game affect how your characters feel and react with others. They get wounded, sick, and tired. All of which affect your choices of who does what in the game. It is a pretty slick game as Ith states. Easy to play and really gets you engrossed in the world these characters are in by the choices you make for them. A definite thumbs up from me.

And from me - oddly I had just watched a run through and then bought it, saw booties post when I came on to FGM.
I think its a nice change of pace and interesting to see the moral aspect in a game - even if many players will no doubt ignore it...

Looks like a modern and dark version of Prince of Persia - the original - set in a urban modern combat zone.

I've had this on my wishlist for some time, apparently the developer of this game was a survivor of the siege of Sarajevo. In my opinion it's a great depiction of what survival and war would be like from the perspective of us armchair generals
I've had three attempts at a play through and all three have ended in death and for me, anguish as I've done some pretty terrible things. No game has been able to do that for me for a while. Well worth it.
