On thursday 27, february 1941, Luftwaffe dropped bombs on the Parnall Aircraft Works at Yate, South Gloucestershire, causing considerable loss of life. A further air raid took place friday 7th march 1941 with additional lives lost. In total 55 employees of Parnall’s Aircraft Factory died as a result of the bombing.
