I know only too well. My 96-year-old father-in-law was a naval aviator and flew fighters off of flattops in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He is living out his final days.

Good reminder. Pretty sure all the WW1 veterans have now passed. I think the last one passed away a couple of years ago IIRC.
