You don't need to watch every minute, but I found it an amazing computer generated reproduction of the event. The last two minutes will take your breath away.

The last program I watched about the Titanic......The story was that when they loaded the ship with coal a fire started inside the bunkers to deep in that the fire wasn't dealt with before the Titanic left port.........the story then says that the fire did weaken the structure causing the damage to the ship to be severe, in fact the ship should not have left the port until the problem had been sorted......the more you think about it, it does seem a good reason for what happened

@Hedgehog Not to sure how accurate your story was. The coal was loaded on the port side midships. This video notes Titanic was listing 3 degrees to port during the trip. The ship hit the ice on the starboard side forward.
Most agree that the damage was exacerbated due to poor quality rivets. Last I heard anyway.

I must admit that Di Caprio's film sparked more interest in me about the ocean liner, beyond the love story it contained.
