I see that TWR 2 has been announced for a 2013 release...

I've just watched a few episodes so far but it seems like a really fun show. I've had that GIF in my stash for a longer time though.
 
In the meantime, just installed Roma Surrectum 2.5 (March 2012) on my RTW Gold and I'm having a very good time with it ! Complete graphics overhaul, campaign, buildings, AI, etc... lots of historical research went into it - 5 years work since the initial project. The first 5 - 10 years playing as Rome are a real challenge ! You start with Hannibal at your door, a disastrous financial situation, legions stuck far from homeland, and after a few turns a rebellion from your own southern cities and the Greeks jump in ! I strongly advise it while RTW2 is in the works !

For a change I also play Third Age 3.1 (mod for Medieval II) in a High Elves campaign and enjoy as well killing some orcs armies !
 
Thanks for the update Corsaire, I will need to update both of my mods.
 
I'm also playing Empire TW with Darthmod Ultimate Commander 7.0+ but guns and rifles change everything (although I like the big scope of ETW and the different nations). Nothing like a good charge with swords, spears or axes ! :)
I've played some Shogun 2, I find the campaign very interesting but not so much the battles ... ( although there are many charges with swords and spears...;) )

Edit : watch out for the updates if you have campaigns on the way, they are not save compatible with earlier versions !
 
Empire TW with Darthmod Ultimate Commander 7.0+ is one of the TOP mods out there in my mind.
 
DMUC has made ETW the game it should have been in the beginning and I waited for it to buy the game Gold Edition for a few euros... I forgot also an excellent mod I use to play Medieval II which is Stainless Steel 6.4.
 
I started an RTW Gold campaign with the Darthmod 8.1 mod . Been awhile since I have played, so picked the Pontus faction. Been in a 20+ year war with the Selecuid's and 3 years plus against the Armenians...a two fron t war SUCKS, even in ancient times...LOL

I have the third age MOD downloaded as well, just don't have enough gaming time...
 
Which reminds me I made a little mistake, the present version of Third Age is 3.2 ( lots of new stuff over 3.1, but not save friendly ! )
