Well here we go again, the UK trying to lead the way on recycling, some Councils have decide to put Micro Chips in the Wheelie Bins ( Rubbish Bins ) to keep a check on what we are throwing away, I really believe in recycling my self and we should have done it years ago, think we might have gone over the top on this one .....Gentlemen what other countries have the same arrangement

Total madness , I have already seen the South Beds SS waste police checking the bins early in the mornings!! They walk around with big rubber gloves on before the bin men come round.If they find anything wrong in the bin they put a sticker across the bin "contaminated " We always get kicked in this country!

Our transfer station makes us use clear bags so the "trash cops" can ensure no one is trying to pull a fast one. I agree with you HH, recycling is a good thing, but like anything else, the minute the government gets involved it becomes a royal pain in the arse.

I would like to know the amount money they spend on project's like this, I bet it exceeds more than the good they do,
I bet 95% of the rubbish is OK, resulting in a complete waste of money

Going Green is the paveway to Socialism.....when the Government mandates the waste in your life, the usefullness is not too far behind! Think about the "jobs" created for going green, and the tattle tale mentality of garbage collection...Big Brother where art thou!?
