Hello mates,

just to show it to you / to let you know about it. ;)

Found it by accident/chance on YouTube and put it on my wishlist on Steam.
Maybe I will grab it if it's offered for a reduced price some time.

Unfortunately this game was not price reduced during the recent "Black Friday/Fall Sale" on Steam - but I bought it now as I couldn't wait any longer. ;)

I can recommend this game. Started playing the British campaign - it is very exciting and good fun - it reminds me a little bit of "Sid Meyer's Pirates"
while I'm cruising in the English Channel, searching fore enemy vessels. ;)

I also created a custom battle between the US and Japan with several carriers - so the air was full of little fighter and bomber planes, dashing around, hunting each other
between anti-air-gun-clouds exploding, tracers everywhere, bombs falling, torpedos, ships burning and smoking - it looked like in the "War Pictorial News" - just great!

The game speed can be slowed down to "0.1" so that everything can be watched and seen without "hectic electric". Ships can be ordered to attack other ships
automatically (reloading, aiming and firing) in the battle's overview screen so that you don't need to watch for every single ship/gun and may concentrate on just
one ship or a group etc.

Only "dislike" so far: You can order a carrier to send out it's aircrafts for to attack an enemy ship but you can't order a single plane to attack another certain plane for example. They are attacking and fighting each other randomly. And the propeller screws of the planes are not moving - this could use a little bit more love to detail/attention from the developers. And there is no multiplayer :( - but the AI is good and challenging.

But this is only a minor thing - the game itself is fun, exciting and entertaining. It is in the "beer & bretzel" category - no big strategy monster á la Gary Grigsby, John Tiller & Co. (just to mention it) ;)

Well, I don't have Battle Fleet 2 - I only watched a gameplay video of it on YouTube now.
But as far as I can tell by watching this video, "Victory at Sea" is similar YES but less tactical
as you don't need to worry about/adjust the ship canon's angles for example.

Victory at Sea looks great and it is fun to play. I for one especially like the U-boats and the airplane carriers.

But I'm no "expert" for Sea Warfare, I must admit.

TIP: Just put the game on your Steam wishlist - from time to time Steam is loading games into your
games library from your wishlist just free to play for one weekend. ;)

Thanks, Shorker. Just stumbled over Navy Field 2, free to play. Will give it a try and probably buy Victory at Sea too.
