War Poetry

I am trying to find a poem that related to WW1 in France or Gallipoli.

I know this will be difficult to find..........it was written by an Aussie and the words mention 'not to, or be careful where you step as you may be standing on a fallen soldier'.............................or something to that effect.

In fact, would it be possible for a thread to be opened covering poems from War.

I am not too good with my eyes at my age and I may have missed it if in fact there is a separate thread.

Any help in finding this poem would really be appreciated and as always most of the poems of war bring a little tear as you read and remember.

Thank you.

Good idea mate, we've just started a thread called 'War Poetry' in the Reading Room section..:)
I can't find the fallen soldier poem on the net but i'll keep looking
