Bonus question: Who is who?
Is it that the officer on the left is a general and has a Individual Tank Destruction badge, which means he has destroyed at least one enemy tank in close combat... very unusual for an officer of his rank.
He looks like Guenther Baade who commanded troops in Sicily and Italy.

Rather than wear a proper military uniform, Baade preferred a Scottich khaki kilt, lacking a sporran, worn over his riding breeches.
