My guess was not so wild -- pic looked postwar/fifties (with LIFE logo) and setting looked Asian -- I couldn't think of any major WW2 paradrops that journalists would've photographed from the air -- so nearest guess was French Indochina war and Dien Bien Phu was only battle I could think of...LOL
