That one was not there Louis - he drove a Volvo P1800.

The big green old Bentley lookalike fascinated me, especially the history of it.

Simon Templar, the main character in the book series “The Saint” by Leslie Charteris, drove different cars in different books. However, in the TV series “The Saint” that aired from 1962 to 1969, Simon Templar drove a white Volvo P18001. In the 1978 TV series “Return of The Saint”, Ian Ogilvy played Simon Templar and drove a Jaguar XJS2. In the 1997 movie “The Saint”, Val Kilmer played Simon Templar and drove a red Volvo C703. However, in the book “The Saint in Pursuit of the Falconer”, Simon Templar drove a 1976 Jensen Interceptor Series 3 Saloon in Briazs Blue4. And of course there was the fictional Hirondel which I am most familiar with from the books. The Hirondel was an opulent, eight-cylinder, cream and red vehicle costing £5,000 and was a recurring element in many of The Saint books.

Thanks- again it was quite difficult as there were plenty of folk there and I had to be patient to get some of these snaps.
