Heraklion is working out well so far (I think)... so I shall be taking my notebooks along with me on vacation next week and start work on a similar-size battle narrative campaign set in the opening days of the Battle of the Bulge...

Sounds great Rico and yes as a player, the Heraklion cam has been very fun. Will definitely be signing up for a CMFB version of it.
We need cloning technology to hurry up so FGM can clone Rico, that way we can have a CMBS and CMRT versions going too.

Been looking at maps and OOB'A and might also have to be fictitious setting in Ardennes - this way the fitting can be like a miniature version of breakthrough to Bastogne - Germans 2 or 2 reinforced PzGren Btn sized kampfgruppen and a smaller foot-slogging reinforced volksgren Btn kampfgruppe -- US initial cavalry outposts to be overrun in first attack- then hodgepodge second line of engineers etc-- then armoured and infantry task forces arrive to try and hold lines....

Anybody got a handy chart of what the weather & ground conditions were like first 3 - 4 days of Battle of Bulge?
I have ay PDF about the weather in Normandy/The Bulge. Haven't even looked at it and don't know if it is any use. I can send it to you. Also, I have Command Ops 2 which has several scenarios set during the opening days of the Bulge. My impression is that it is a well researched game, so that can provid info if you're interested.
