I've got some exciting news!

World War III Online is being developed as a free-to-play, multiplayer only first-person shooter. Set during the height of the military might of NATO and the Warsaw Pact the game will explore the "what if? scenario that the Berlin wall did not fall, but on November 9th, 1989 a coup by hard-liners inside the Red Army took over the Soviet Union. Fearing the dissident movement growing within Soviet satellite states the Red Army generals decide to risk it all in an armored drive to the Rhine River, plunging the world into World War III.

Its dependent on how we can get work finished, remember that we are a new company that have started up and good things come to those that wait!!

We know some of the gaming community will have burning questions for our new developers about WW3 Online, about it's design and the philosophy behind the game.

This is what will happen!

Each podcast, we'll select a few questions from the Ask the Devs forum and will read them out on the podcast.

1. We only ask for one question per post

2. Keep it clean

3. A highly-rated post does not mean it will be answered, but we'll do our best to answer as many questions as possible.

4. Keep your questions simple. One to three sentences should be plenty to explain and ask a question

More to come

For your viewing enjoyment today, we offer up some official renders of some of our Small Arms & Equipment models for WW3O.

Here is the U.S. Army’s M16A2 Assault Rifle and the Soviet Army's AK-74 Assault Rifle; both of which are the main rifles used by both nations.

The M3A1 Grease Gun was used by the U.S. Army until the mid 90's as the primary individual weapon for tank crews. This weapon will be apart of the tank crew kit.

The Soviet Army PKM is the USSR's primary platoon level machine gun. The PKM counterpart on the battlefield will be the U.S. Army's M60 GPMG. Full renders of the M60 will come out in the next news cycle.
