Played this against a regular PBEM opponent. I had Blue. He had Red. Red Ceasefired with 30 minutes left to go in game. Basically RED never got off the beach. I was expecting more than one wave of RED troops landing on the beach and never saw a second wave.
Red was wiped out by basically Blue’s 4 tanks, the forward Dragon Teams, Mortar and Aircraft Observers. Forward infantry really played no role in the defense, and pretty much everything on US 2/3 of map beyond the beaches did nothing, other than mortars and a handful of observers. Red’s aircraft were easily taken out by stinger teams. Blue aircraft were never fired at and once called in just flew around the battlefield unchallenged. Either RED was given zero anti-air assets, or I was lucky and quickly took out all IFVs carrying his anti-air teams very early in the battle.
Not a good H2H experience for RED. Maybe better as RED playing against Blue AI.
