You are in command of a Soviet battalion tasked with penetrating the third and last fortified line of the German 78th Assault Division.
Your mission is to secure the crossroads and the terrain near the railroad gap.
You main forces are a battalion (-) of infantry and two tank platoons. A platoon of scouts is already in contact with the enemy. A platoon of combat engineers is also attached to your combat team. Indirect fire support is available in the form of heavy artillery and medium mortars.
The enemy is throwing his last reserves into this line of defense. A mix of regular and reconnaissance troops, plus their halftrack transports has been spotted by our scouts. Our scouts also reported engine noises coming from the west, likely armor.
Notes
This scenario is fictional but inspired in the fight for the approaches to Orsha. The scenario has a time allowance of 100 minutes.
