British heavy/medium armour

1945 -- a Cromwell tank crew from 7 Armoured Division eating lunch by the rear of their vehicle.

Those late war British tanker winter overalls are pretty cool looking -- wouldn't be out of place on a modern battlefield.

Out of service, British Matilda II destroyed by the German fire. The Matilda received a minimum of four hits of 88-mm shells, Tobruk Dec 1941.

Local children hitch a ride on a Sherman tank of 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) in Belpasso near Catania, Sicily, August 1943.
In the background can be seen the church of Saint Anthony of Padua.
At Belpasso in the north of Sicily, County of London Yeomanry tank men are accorded a great reception by the civilians of the town.
Here they are seen with Sicilian children riding on their tanks as they rumble down the main street.
